The Festival of Architecture is a national event sponsored by RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). In Guildford the event was organised by the Guildford Society jointly with RIBA SE, The Guildford Photographic Society and the Guildford House Gallery. 2010 was the last event sponsored by the Guildford Society.
The 2010 Festival of Architecture was called "A Celebration of Guildford". This was held at the Guildford Institute. There was a Photographic exhibition and a series of lectures. Click here to read Saving Guildford's Historic Streets by Doug Scott

In previous years the event was called Architecture week

In 2006 the Theme was "The Power of Ten" to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Architecture week. This was interpreted locally as the ten Architects who have had the most impact upon Guildford, five past masters and five contemporary architects.
